I need these for a very elderly Shih Tzu. She’s blind and going senile- literally pees where and whenever. I go through 600+ pee pads a month!I asked questions before purchasing, I took measurements, I considered that my dog is shaved for warmer months to come. and the XS was way too small. I don’t know what dog this could possibly fit, but not a full sized Shih Tzu, even without fur.My dog is very thin- only 8lbs. Her back is hunched over, and her hips aren’t great. She has arthritis. (She’s 16 yrs old). I measured a good 11” around her stomach. If your dog is about the same measurements, I don’t recommend XS. They don’t even cover her hind quarters, and slip right off.I immediately drove to a pet store to buy another package (of a different brand) in a size S, which is at least twice as big as these XS. I also had to buy her pajama onsies to keep the diaper on.That said, I’m sure these would be absorbent, and the Velcro itself holds well.
