The TTR125 needs minor adjustments but overall not bad

2002 The TTR125 needed some minor modifications/buffing/buffing especially on the passenger side footrest to allow it to lie flatter as it wanted to sit. and back at a slight angle. It is also recommended to file it slightly so that it bends a bit. I could just as easily install and use with no modifications, but wanted to take the extra time to feel a little better. As expected, the footpegs came without springs or other hardware, and existing parts from the bike were used to install these new footpegs. . I had to use the right side spring on the left side of the bike and vice versa for the existing springs to work with the new footpegs. New (small) cotter pins are recommended unless you can reliably reinstall the old ones. There is only a slight wobble in the finished setup, but I don't think it's very noticeable. Maybe it could be made better if I put a washer or spacer between the pin and the OEM mount. The pins are HUGE, nearly three times the width of the barrel. Looks a bit odd on a bike this size, but the blue anodizing looks nice, as does the rest of the footpeg. I checked every bracket and found none loose. A small bag of replacement spikes is included with the footpegs just in case. These pegs are larger and look much bulkier than my Fastway Evolution pegs on my 450X (which have held up exceptionally well for over 8 years). Time will tell how durable they will be on the ttr125 but they are on one of my kids bikes so should not be subjected to the weight or abuse that an adult rider might be subjected to. (Bonus: They're only 1/4 the price of Fastway, that's all).
