Review on Enhance Your Car Security with the KeylessOption Replacement Keyless Entry Remote Fob Flip Key Shell Case by Bill Russett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Physically compatible with my 2010 Sprinter key fob with one small difference.

We have a 2010 Sprinter and at one point the key loop came loose from my wife's key. Finding an exact match proved a bit expensive for reasons unknown. over $100 for a *used* keychain. (I checked both Revain and Ebay.) But in my research I came across this empty shell for 1/10th the price. Although Revain describes it as incompatible with my car, I took a very close look at it. and as far as I can tell the only difference between this shell and our original shell is that the panic button is on the bottom: our key fobs have a black button to open the rear doors in this position, no panic button. I decided to take a chance and throw ten bucks at this thing to see if my instincts were right. I'm glad I did. Opening the original keychain was the only real difficulty, but YouTube helped a little with that; I highly recommend watching a few tutorial videos before attempting to open this thing. I suppose I could replace that red button with the original button from my old key fob, but I decided not to push my luck that far. (I'm keeping this portion of the original key fob in case I change my mind.) Conclusion: I successfully transferred the electronics and flip key to this new blank shell, my wife's key is back on her key. ring and everything works fine; A button of a different color on a new key fob body, otherwise intact, is a very small money saver. Very satisfied.
