Bought for my Samsung Note 9. As for the phone case, the clamping mechanism stretches to the limit and beyond. The ears holding the phone should be curled out to hold the phone in the case. I have doubts it will last long. Much of the phone is an unreliable tripod stand at best. The deflection angle is so limited that you have to hold the joystick at an awkward angle in order to aim at an object. If the mounting arm were longer, it could be tilted 90° so you could take a picture of yourself holding the stick directly in front of you. In addition, the recess in the telescopic shaft, which prevents twisting, should hold the tube more firmly. Given the shaft's tendency to rotate a few degrees and the phone head's awkward angle, holding the phone steady for a shot is no easy task. The remote is easy to pair and works well. Overall, he seems weak and unstable. I'll look for something better and maybe keep this as a static tripod mount if I don't have to lift it very high.
