After buying another pair of blue filter glasses for much less money I found that they didn't fit my prescription glasses - they weren't wide enough. For some reason nobody who sells these glasses at Revain seems to think this is an actual problem, so they list the lens height, lens width and OUTER frame width along with other measurements - but they DO NOT list the inner frame width, which is the maximum width of prescription glasses that can hold them. Claiming that a pair of glasses "fits most prescription glassesโ makes no sense. In this case, the seller answered my question quickly, so I ordered these glasses for a much higher price. Thus, the seller gets full marks for responsiveness. When the glasses arrived I was pleased to find that they fitted my (apparently) wider than usual prescription glasses. The seller is also scored for an accurate answer, and points are awarded for suitability. These goggles are very effective at blocking blue light, so I think they deserve credit for that, but they do come with a number of downsides. By the way, I've been wearing sunglasses for over 20 years, so I have something to compare these glasses to. The ridge above the lenses of these glasses, which rests on top of the prescription glasses, isn't as deep as that on my sunnies and doesn't curve as much to wrap around my face. Therefore, although the lenses effectively block blue light, most of the blue light comes from above the lenses. The same happens on the sides of the glasses; While the temples are much wider than prescription glasses, they aren't as wide as sunglasses, so they don't block as much light coming in from the side. The lenses themselves effectively block blue light - perhaps a little too effectively. The orange lenses on these glasses are much darker than the yellow lenses on other products. Color perception suffers badly - TV takes some getting used to, but that's moderately acceptable. What I have a lot of trouble with is using a computer. When you're working in a spreadsheet, any cells highlighted in yellow simply disappear into the backgroundโall white on the screen turns yellow, making cells highlighted in yellow undetectable. My final nitpick is the overall blackout effect. Lenses. When I watch TV in the living room and get up to go to the kitchen, I have to go through a darkened hallway. The first time I did it with these glasses, I actually hit the wall. The same thing happens when I'm working on a computer and I want to go to another room - I have to go through a darkened corridor. These goggles obscure the overall perception of light to such an extent that they pose a safety hazard. Overall, these glasses are well made, fit me well and do what they promise; and the seller responds. It looks like it should be a five star rating. But while the lenses do what they're supposed to do, perhaps they do it too efficiently on the one hand, and the frames manage to let light through by bypassing the lenses. They are also two to three times more expensive than comparable products. I wish I could give them a better rating but I just can't.
