Used with an old Sony TV in the bedroom to improve sound/dialogue. And that's exactly what he does. if it works. I had to use an optical cable. It's disappointing that the soundbar works with some video services but not others. When the latter happens there is no sound until I switch back to the TV speakers. This of course contradicts the rationale for purchasing the system. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and / or just didn't find the right order of connections for the stable operation of the device. I'll keep fooling around until maybe I can get it right. The Creative Stage V2 2.1 Soundbar is perfect for what I need it for and at a great price, but at this point the disappointment definitely limits the star ratings I'm happy to give the device.
