The swing is bright and cheerful. I chose it over the plastics because I thought it would be "more breathable" in such hot weather. It was fairly easy to put together but my husband didn't use knots to hold it together. He used the metal clamps he had. He felt it was safer and easier to retaliate. I wasn't sure if beads or rings would do anything but our 18 month old loves to play with it. It's smaller, it has room to grow with the swing. The only drawback is the pillow. I had to zip the bottom and top to keep it in place. I had to move the pillow further forward to avoid red stains from the edge of the seat on his legs. It's not that important. Cushions and swing are easy to clean. Good buy.
