Comes with an alligator clip and a thin wire that should be attached to the gauge but I find it a bit cumbersome. I just hold the multimeter up to the plug wire and it seems to be giving a pretty accurate reading. I didn't take out a loan to pay for it so I'd say it works pretty well for the money.
