The best tape measure ever! If you are involved in woodworking, carpentry or surveying; Whether you're a professional or amateur/DIY, you NEED this tape measure. I had no idea what I was missing before I bought it. All I knew was that I faced a lot of frustrations in measuring and evaluating my work. This roulette solved them all. 1.) The tape measure is flat. A simple concept, but with great benefits. Your measurements are easy to see on a flat surface and easy to mark on a flat surface. The tape does not need to be swept sideways to get an accurate mark. 2.) The metal tip does not move! This tape measure ensures consistent measurements as the tip does not slip back and forth. I never understood why roulette does that. I'm no pro so might be missing something, but getting different measurements depending on whether you're measuring inside or outside of something has always frustrated me. Not ideal for fine woodworking where accurate and consistent measurements are important. 3.) It's easy to see the 1/16" marks. FAST! 4.) Write and erase surface. Forget about finding a piece of paper to write down your measurements. Do it on the side of this tape measure Then erase it when you're done 5.) Built-in pencil sharpener The convenience of this is understandable It was kind of an Easter egg as I don't remember reading about it before I bought it NOTE: This is for round pencils only , not for carpenter's pencils Another GENIUS feature 6.) There is a thumb lever on the clip so you can open it with your hand if you clamp it on something, you don't have to force it into your belt or pocket Stuck in my pocket. I still use my regular tape measure when I need something that will stay straight when measuring from a distance without holding onto anything. Aside from it staying on my pole and this tape staying with me. Verdict: AMAZING !
