Having used numerous Kensington and Logitech trackballs over the past fifteen years, I tried it with elecom deft which was good but a bit small.recently i tried this huge model and found my new love.first i ordered one for home and a week later i got another one for work.like you on the As you can see from the first picture I shared, this thing is very large On the left is a standard HP mouse, it comes with every new PC or HP docking station. On the right is the smaller Elecom Deft mouse. Eel is very good with good action. The trackball and scroll wheel are smooth and feel comfortable. Each button is programmed with the Elecom MouseAssistant software. I left the bottom thumb button as a left click, although I tried using the top forward button for a while. I've also switched right-click to the outer long button on the right, which sits more naturally under my ring finger - the default is the inner long button on the right. The left and right (or up and down, depending on the orientation on the device) tilted scroll wheel are the eighth and ninth buttons. The hardest thing about Elecom devices seems to be the software. As other reviews and FAQs point out, you need to find the right driver/software download page. Also note that although I use two Huge models on two Windows 10 PCs, I was able to use Mouse Companion version 5.0.3.000 on my home PC, but didn't recognize the same software Huge when running it on my work PC was installed. . I had to download version 5.1.601. They are on two different sites which I will link to in the review. I've seen people mention that the software is written in Japanese, but both versions I downloaded had an English language option during installation.
