I bought these shelves for my renovated shower. There is a set of two; I only needed one for the shower, I'll keep the other one, maybe for the kitchen. (Note: you cannot use it on wood or plaster walls, only on tile or similar surfaces.) The hooks are not suction cups - they are on a clear plastic sheet with strong adhesive on the back. You clean and dry the area where you want to place it, then remove the cover from the sticky side. Stick it on gently and smooth out the air bubbles with your hands. I'm all thumbs up, but I had no problem with that. You then wait 24 hours before using the shelf. One is enough for me: a bar of soap, a bottle of liquid soap, a bottle of shampoo, a tube of facial scrub behind the bottles, and a pumice stone. The shelves are very durable. There are also two hooks at the bottom if you have something like a brush. This product is way better than those big, cumbersome shelves that fit over the shower head.
