Overall they are amazing I love that they don't ruin my hair. The mats are really pretty. Unfortunately, the ones with the elastic in the middle are very difficult to put on, but they're not bad. I just cut my hair but before that when it was really long I think it will hold the bun really well without having to tie it more than once. Now that my hair is short I have to make an effort to do it a second time to keep it secure enough. If you have a lot of hair, textured hair that has more volume might work. This set of three is great if you've never used coiled ponytail holders and want to try them in two different ways, or maybe even as family stockings, as long as you give each hair a 'secure hold'.
