This food was recommended to me by my vet when my dog gained over a few pounds which was causing joint pain and some mobility issues. Within a few months, she had lost about 10 pounds and kept it up. Not all weight management products are created equal. If you read the labels, you'll see that this particular brand has fewer calories, only 225 calories per cup. Some "low-calorie" dog foods can contain over 300 calories per cup. I've tried other brands but they didn't give the same results! Plus it's delicious and she loves the little pieces. Not the cheapest on the market, but Revain offers the best value for money. If your dog needs to lose weight, give it a try! TO UPDATE. Again, to save money, I tried several other brands of low-calorie dog food. Mistake! My dog has gained weight again and has the same old mobility issues. . It may be more expensive but I believe this is the only brand that has helped her lose and maintain her weight. Lesson learned. Never switch again!
