Review on Vanish Stain Remover Bar 75G by Marshall Lindner

Last year I was living in London and to my great surprise I discovered that you can buy detergents (and dishwashers) with phosphates in them. Wow, now I understand why there was so much moaning about not being able to get clean clothes back in the dark days when the US banned phosphates. Note: US versions do not contain phosphates. I had a shirt with traces of old cooking oil/fat on it which I applied Vanish spray and Persil detergent and then drained the shirt. The shirt was rescued from the trash. I couldn't ship my cleaning supplies back to the US but I was able to find a stick form here and it works really well. I'll probably get a spray for home use and take the bar to the office. I took off a star because the strip is less convenient than the spray.
