First words: performance is the real thing. I wasn't sure what to expect but just heard that going from a traditional spinning/magnetic drive to an SSD would be crazy. Yes, it is true. Upload/download times are significantly faster. I can turn on the computer and go to the desktop where everything is loaded in less than 30 seconds, whereas it used to take several minutes. Second, the installation was excruciating. Not because the hardware itself is complicated (you just flip it into the m.2 slot and then tighten the screw that holds it in place), but because of the software you use it with, like Windows. Windows kept giving me errors, so I finally gave up the idea of making a disk clone and did a direct install from fresh Windows. It seems to have worked, but apparently I now have data on my old hard drive that I'll need to extract at some point. Back to the SSD itself - yes, it really is that fast. For the price, this should be one of the best upgrades you can make to your system, especially if you're still using a traditional hard drive like me. Highly recommended. PS You are tiny! I didn't expect them to be so small. About the size of my index finger/gumstick. Half a terabyte of that size. I think the future is really here!
