Review on High-Quality 60mm Rotary Blades for Quilters, 10-Pack - Compatible with Olfa, Fiskars, Martelli, Truecut by Christine Langlois

Revainrating 1 out of 5

DO NOT BUY! This is NOT tungsten tool steel. Unused quality.

TLDR: False claim that the metal is SKS-7 tool steel. It's actually bad Chinese steel. fries fast. Not good for cutting. Sent back for a refund. I saw all the 5 star reviews and thought wow these blades must be great. Unfortunately, most of these reviews appear to be fake and paid for by the seller. Upon arrival, I popped one of these blades into my clipper and began cutting the usual 3 layers of plain cotton fabric. I immediately hear a "cracking" sound when I cut. It was very unusual and I had never heard it on my previous Olfa or Fiskars blades. I notice a lot of skipped threads that weren't cut into the fabric and require another pass of the blade. Maybe it's just a bad blade on top of the stack, I thought. I insert another blade and get the same result. What's happening? I've looked closely at the blade and see that there are many pits and chipped pieces of blade along the edge. I have NEVER seen this in stock sires bought from Olfa or Fiskars, even after hundreds of cuts! Attached is a photo of the blade. Without magnification, the jagged and rough edge of the metal edge can be clearly seen. NEVER is a tungsten tool steel. It can only be cheap brittle steel out of thin air. China? If the metal breaks off, it needs to end up in my cutting mat too! So even if I use a new blade, embedded metal shavings will damage my good blades. I ended up buying a new mat due to the chipping and in the meantime sent those bad blades back to Revain. I am very disappointed in the unscrupulousness of this seller who claims these blades are made from SKS-7 tool steel when it is obvious from their characteristics that this is not the case. . A chunk or two came off my skin as I ran my hand over the surface of the cutting mat. This product should be banned from Revain because of this serious hazard. I had to order a new set of knives immediately. I ordered from Olfa but Fiskars works great with my Olfa cutter. While a quality blade will cost you 3-5x as much as a single blade, it will last 100x longer and maybe 1000x longer if you sharpen your blades like me. Honestly, I hope the buyer REALLY buys. it's a blade. I hope you come to the same conclusion as me and hopefully leave the right review to combat these Revain fake reviews.
