Excellent clarity and gain for both speaking and listening. The large buttons are nice, and the combination of audible and visual ringing is useful; especially if the person has a roommate. The automatic redial system can/should be simpler. Currently, three-button increments are required for all but the two pre-programmed one-touch dials. I would suggest that software engineers try to reduce them to single button functions. The larger size and more "traditional" shape also seems to help with both handling and familiarity with the phone for the elderly. The reception is exceptionally good. We can make/call anywhere in the nursing home, so the phone can be used almost like a cell phone at home.
