I have to say that I like almost everything about this suitcase. The color is beautiful, the skin feels like calf, the seams are sewn very well. The fit is perfect, the Velcro works great, the cutouts (cameras, plugs, ports, etc.) are in the right places. The pivoting hub works great too, offering a variety of viewing positions and connectivity options. Basically I am very satisfied. My only issue, which is easy to overlook but not to ignore, is that the standing positions aren't perfect. If you're looking at a tablet horizontally, there really aren't any good lock bars at the bottom. if it's on a table, desk or other flat surface and doesn't touch it - no problem. But if he's on his lap, a pillow, or on an uneven surface, you'll have to balance a bit and expect him to repair himself as soon as something moves or touches him. In a high upright position, the only option is to balance it on a flat surface and not touch it. Period. I think a small stabilization strap or bar would be a nice design feature to stabilize it and prevent it from collapsing. Finally, can I recommend this? Yes of course. I prefer it by a mile to the other case I bought but wish it was perfect.
