Review on ☕ Bayka French Press Coffee Maker: Premium Stainless Steel, 4-Level Filtration, 34oz Capacity, Dishwasher Safe - Silver by Michelle Lynn

I bought Bayka 34 oz. French press in stainless steel. Overall I give 4 stars. I found the build quality to be quite good, although there were some dark gray blemishes on the outside which I believe are polishing paste residue. I received everything as advertised including 2 replacement screens and a mixing spoon. I inspected the welds on my press and they looked fine. Before using it, I ran the press in the dishwasher for my wife and in the process she disassembled the piston assembly and managed to lose a partially threaded bushing. which is screwed into the piston rod. Without the bushing I wouldn't be able to use the press as the bushing is needed to press the filter parts together. We contacted the seller to see if we could purchase a replacement case and were told this part was not available separately so he offered to send us a returned French press from which we could get the case free of charge for could remove the shipment. For this reason I rate their customer support as second to none considering it was our fault the case was lost. The only thing that bothers me is the vacuum insulation. I have 16 ounces. A Klean Kanteen travel bottle which is also vacuum insulated and when I pour hot coffee in it the outside of the bottle stays cool at room temperature and still keeps my coffee hot inside for hours. My Bayka French Press gets very hot on the outside when I'm brewing coffee in it. When I feel heat outside, it means the vacuum insulation layer is not doing its job well and is letting heat through from the inside. That being said, when I'm ready for my second cup of coffee, it's usually warm enough to satisfy my needs. I just want the press to keep the coffee hotter longer. For that I gave 4 stars. If it hadn't been for that, I would have given 5 points.
