First of all I know I can't break it. Unless I throw it out the window. Even then I can't hurt him much. Robust construction, very easy to clean. Keeps contents hot. I took a picture of it next to the pear to show the size. The size is suitable for one large cup or two normal cups. Inside the press are gauge marks that show the water level. As long as I keep it clean and don't throw it out the window I see no reason why this press won't last very long. Prefect of the press.

Absolutely fantastic French press! I went through a few glasses and decided to give this babe a try. We love it. However, it does NOT hold 51 ounces of coffee. I have attached photos to show. The maximum fill line is 45 ounces and is just below the bottom of the spout, so you can't squeeze out excess water even if you want to. This press is really easy to use. I used to have glass but it ended up cracking. This stainless steel is much stronger. While it heats up on the outside, the handle doesn't. I messed up and used finely ground coffee. This will give you a ground that will pass through the strainer and into your coffee. I used coarse grounds and this keeps the grounds from getting into my coffee. Not only was the flavor more pronounced, but the coffee itself is much stronger when I use it on a regular coffee pot.

I love coffee and have tried all ways of making coffee in different coffee pots and over the last 5 years I have loved my glass coffee maker and I have bought many of these coffee makers and love my copper spiral jar that I have had for a year can keep warm and really protects the glass. I found the build quality to be quite good, although there were some dark gray blemishes on the outside which I believe are polishing paste residue. TL;DR: I do not recommend buying this product. The lid and the press have big problems. I paid $23 for this product, it's clearly a cheap, mass-produced coffee maker, and that's what I expected.
