I love coffee and have tried all ways of making coffee in different coffee pots and over the last 5 years I have loved my glass coffee maker and I have bought many of these coffee makers and love my copper spiral jar that I have had for a year can keep warm and really protects the glass. I got this because of all 5 stars and I've never used the all metal. I don't like wasting water, so the suggestion of running hot water to heat it up is a no-no for me. I don't like that I don't see coffee. For me there is no difference in taste, but I know that people with coffee makers and other metal coffee pots like the taste of their coffee because if they just rinse it instead of washing it, the taste of the coffee is always there and it kind of makes subsequent ones Coffees taste better - well, I won't. I love the long teaspoon that comes with it because it works great with my powdered supplements and is perfect for the amount of agave I use in my coffee. I won't be returning it because it makes quite a large cup of coffee and it would be nice if I had company and had to make more than 2 cups of coffee.
