Just ok, not great. The lid needs to be replaced.

TL;DR: I do not recommend buying this product. The lid and the press have big problems. I paid $23 for this product, it's clearly a cheap, mass-produced coffee maker, and that's what I expected. I've been using it to make hot tea every day for a little over a week. It's just okay, it's not great, I got what I paid for. First, the pitcher part is fine. It's sturdy and feels solid. I don't think it's actually vacuum insulated because it gets pretty warm outside when filled with hot water. There is some insulation (it doesn't get hot, just warm), but I'm guessing the insulation is just air, not a vacuum. I have other vacuum insulated products that don't even get hot when filled with boiling water. Again, it's only $23 and I drink my tea pretty quickly, so it's fine. The lid and the press have three problems. Others have posted pictures, take a look at the design. First problem: the lid has a hard bottom where it comes in contact with the liquid; It's not a "cap" style like other presses I've used. If I put too much water in a pitcher and put the lid on, there's no room under the lid. Boiling water sprays out of the spout as if from a pistol. Yes, the maximum level is marked inside the jug, and I'm trying to be careful, but. I'm human and sometimes I make mistakes. I don't deserve to be burned for her. The second problem is that when you turn the lid to pour (doesn't matter, pouring is easy in any position) the lid simply makes a slit to allow the liquid to flow out. Any tea leaves that break out of the metal strainers just spill out (some tea leaves keep slipping away no matter how hard I press the strainer). If the lid had a pouring grate instead, it could catch the last few leaves and keep them from getting into my cup. Other presses I've used are set up this way and it really helps. The third problem: the press does not reach the bottom of the can! If I press it as deep as possible there is still a lot of water under the press. The tea leaves in this water continue to steep, making the second cup of tea much stronger and more bitter. If the stem was just 1/4 inch longer it would squeeze out all the water and prevent this problem. Other presses I've used don't have this problem either. I paid $23 and got what I paid for. Don't try to send it back, it works fine. But it's not great and I certainly wouldn't buy it again.
