Most to fix high pressure fuel pump failure

Works great so far. Used for 1.6L Ecoboost on 2013 Ford Escape. Problem solved. Barely run and had code P0087 (low fuel rail pressure) and misfires due to straight injectors not having enough fuel pressure to work reliably. The Delphi part I received also had a FoMoCo mark and part number - Delphi is a major OEM supplier. Keep in mind that if you get a P0087 code, you still want to diagnose the system. Compare the PID on the Darsloff chart, e.g. B. Low pressure fuel system PSI, pump duty cycle and fuel rail pressure. These cars have a fuel pump in the tank that delivers about 60psi to the high pressure pump. If the low-side pressure is bad, the high-side pump may be fine, but it just doesn't have the amount of fuel to work properly. Also, the pressure sensor on the low side can be faulty (solidly showing pressure) and this will cause the pump on the low side to run at a lower duty cycle again, starving the high pressure pump again. In this case we have confirmed that the low pressure side is working as expected, at a higher RPM to direct more fuel to the high pressure pump due to the low fuel rail pressure. We've seen 100-400 psi at the fuel rail, which is way too low. The new parts are fitted following the steps in the service manual and now it works perfectly and the fuel rail pressure in the quick data log shows between 600 and 1700psi depending on the engine RPM and load.

Pros
  • Fuel Pumps and Accessories
Cons
  • Can be damaged
