Cheaper than the smaller bottles

The usual lucas product but cheaper than buying smaller bottles. My dad often use this when he has the check engine light on, he adds this and the light goes away. This product most likely cleans up the oxygen censor.

Pros
  • Mileage has improved since using this fuel additive! Try to put in after each fill up! Works great!
Cons
  • Can cause engine stalling or misfires

Improved muleage in my truck

Since gas prices are sky high I bought this gallon jug to add a little umph in my vehicles. I aded some to my motorhome, truck and a friends Jeep that I have been working on.Motorhome: haven't used it yet.Truck: I noticed that it runs smoother, and has better acceleration and gas mileage improved slightly.Jeep: this car was in storage for a few years while the previous owner started restoring it. My friend put new fuel in it before dropping it off at my house. So I did the required work(new…

Pros
  • Helps to restore lost horsepower
Cons
  • Can cause damage to fuel injectors in some vehicles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Missing mixing instuctions

The jug has no mixing instructions any where on it. How much product per gallon of fuel? REALLY? Need a container with oz. marking to figure ozs per gal. of gas your treating. 2ox per gallon is what I see else were, but have to go buy a container that clearly shows ox of product in it. Last time for this.

Pros
  • Oils & Fluids
Cons
  • Can cause fuel system leaks

This stuff is for real!

I own a Genesis Coupe R-spec with a 3.8L engine. I’ve recently been noticing decreased mpg and performance. I purchased this product because I’ve used it in former cars with excellent results.I used the Lucas gas treatment, along with a new K&N air filter, using Tier 1 93 octane gasoline and a synthetic oil change. WOW! What a difference! Performance and mpg increased majorly! But for those who haven’t replaced air filters, don’t use synthetic oil, etc., this product will still work very well…

Pros
  • Reduces fuel system wear
Cons
  • Can cause fuel system fires in rare cases

Makes GM engines run smooth

I've got an old GM truck with gas 6L. Oil pressure runs low, about 20psi, on cranking for a few minutes. Lucas fuel treatment stopped the valve ticking that went with this. Even Better, improved my gas mileage so it paid for itself and then some, and made the engine run smooth, almost peppy, like I don't remember when. Use in all my cars with same results.

Pros
  • Helps to extend engine life
Cons
  • Can be harmful to the environment

Does Help With Old Engine

Added to the fuel Lucas Fuel Treatment does wonders for my 25-year-old car. Gets rid of knocks and weird ticking sounds from the engine. I hope this same fuel treatment can be combined with a gasoline preserver.

Pros
  • Helps to prevent fuel system corrosion
Cons
  • May not perform well in cold temperatures

Must Have for Diesel!

I use this EVERY fill up in my 2017 Ram 1500 3.0L. Buying by the gallon is WAY cheaper than the individual 5 oz bottles. Love the price and the protection for the motor. This was recommended to me by my Dealerships Diesel mechanic/Shop Owner.

Pros
  • Diesel Additives
Cons
  • Can affect the vehicle's overall performance negatively

Trouble Code P0420 Fixed

Just know that I do not believe in adding anything to the gas tank. But while looking for a good catalytic converter cleaner (time for smog check), I ran across Lucus Oil. My 2003 Camry blew a head gasket four years ago. After making the repair, the dreaded P0420 code turned on the check engine light 2 years later. I drove the car all this time without addressing the issue. Recently, I removed the catalytic converter, soaked it in vinegar for a couple of days, then put it back on. The code came

Pros
  • Increases fuel efficiency
Cons
  • May not work with certain types of gasoline

Fabulous product - my new review

I normally use the TopTier Super Unleaded at my popular warehouse club, but noticed that the gas alone was only getting 32-33 mpg on a tank of gas. When I refill my Lucas and add it to the tank during filling I noticed that it improved my mpg by about 10mpg on the average driving on the freeway. At first I didn’t think it was that big of a difference on TopTier Supper Unleaded, but after multiple trips with and without adding the small bottle of this it really improved the efficiency of my…

Pros
  • Perfect.
Cons
  • May not prevent rust in fuel tanks

Lucas fuel treatment definitely works. My 2004 Toyota Tundra has 150,000 miles on it and runs like a new car. It burns zero oil between oil changes, the dipstick is at the full mark right before the oil change. I use it at a dilution of 1 ounce of Lucas per 5 gallons of fuel, and buy it in this large gallon size which treats 640 gallons of gas. I know it says treats 400 gallons but when you look at the little 5 ounce bottle that on treats 25 gallons and it is the same product. So 128 ounces…

Pros
  • 1 Quart
Cons
  • Could trigger "check engine" warning lights

LUCAS LUC10013 10013 Fuel Treatment - 1 Gallon

That's my personal experience. It might work different in different type of cars. Using a leading brand 91 octane rating gasoline, I find no mileage increase on full tank adding a small bottle of this Lucas Fuel Treatment. Same result adding 2 or 3 small bottles of Lucas to the full tank of 91 gasoline. The mileage is identical weather I add just pure gasoline or add the specification amount of Lucas claiming to increase the mileage. I've tested it on 2 different car brands of the same class of

Pros
  • Bought this for my 2012 European car. run like new!
Cons
  • Can cause engine damage if not used correctly

GREAT FUEL ADDITIVE

It will only take a few times of highway driving before you notice the difference in power. The effect of the additive will not be that evident during city driving but once you drive on the highway, you can definitely feel the improvement in horsepower and fuel mileage.

Pros
  • Restores lost power and improves performance
Cons
  • Can cause engine overheating

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don’t run your engine without it

Truck feels like it’s new again. MPG went up 1.5. Heard about it from a gear head - apparently engines will go to 600k if you use this stuff. The gas they sell at the pump is garbage!

Pros
  • Cleans and lubricates fuel systems
Cons
  • Can void vehicle warranties if not used correctly

best value: my feedback

do you every really know if these products work? if you use them and you don't have injector issues you have to assume it works, follow the direction and it should be what you are looking for. I do trust Lucas products $10 for about 5 fill-ups maybe six depending on you fuel tank capacity

Pros
  • Use it to pass smog tests. Finally, it totally neutralizes the harmful effects of low sulfur diesel fuel.
Cons
  • Can cause unpleasant odors in the vehicle's cabin

Works well in Atkinson cycle engines. Try not to overtreat!

I use this product in all my engines and Atkinson cycle engines are the only one I've found to be sensitive to how much additive you need. I have a 2019 Camry Hybrid that is sensitive to how much additive you put into the tank. With all my other vehicles I was never careful to measure how much of the product that I use but the Camry hybrids engine is sensitive to overtreatment. You will loose power if you use a bit too much. If you dial in the correct mixture it's excellent however. The engine…

Pros
  • Extends the life of fuel filters
Cons
  • May not work with all blends of gasoline and ethanol

Car runs better on my review.

My seven year old Hyundai Sonata had fewer miles driven during the pandemic and was a little sluggish with poorer mileage. This treatment seemed to offer a pick me up and improved mileage. When I was ready for the next treatment I opted for the larger size to save money.

Pros
  • Keeps injectors clean
Cons
  • Requires frequent replenishment

This stuff works on my review.

I use Lucas on my Jeep, mustang and my wife’s Jeep. It works so well I had my sister-in-law us it on her older car it’s made such a difference on her her son now uses Lucas also. If you have a car with lots of mile this will make a difference

Pros
  • Additives
Cons
  • May not address certain fuel system problems

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Always add this best in my review

engine runs better and gets better mileage not just because the engine stays clean but it ads oil to the ring for slightly better sealing and compression. does not affect the spark plugs

Pros
  • Reduces engine knock and ping
Cons
  • Can attract moisture in the fuel system

Works excellent good for me

I’ve been using this product since I’ve bought my 2017 Elantra which has 380,000 miles and have seen increase in fuel, power and longevity of engine with no engine problems just basic maintenance like oil change and basic tune up. I recommended this product to friends and family. Thanks Lucas for a great product.

Pros
  • have used this product for many years in my frieghtliners and volvos will continue using it
Cons
  • Not suitable for all types of vehicles

Great product.Great Value.

I HAVE AN OLDER, high mileage car and have been using this Lucas fuel treatment for the past few years. Prior to this product my Check Engine light kept coming on. With regular use this has solved the issue for me . I have been buying Lucas in small bottles of 5.25 fl. ounces which treat up to 25 gallons and using half of the bottle with each fill up for my 10 gallon gas tank. The small bottles cost around $5 each. This gallon jug will save me from buying 24 of my little bottles and will treat…

Pros
  • just started using it
Cons
  • Not recommended for use with diesel engines
