For an upcoming trip to Ireland I was looking for a beanie to wear on the days when I didn't need a jacket hood but still wanted something to store my head warm. This crochet beret is not designed for freezing temperatures as the yarn is not thick but the pattern is airy, but it should do for chilly days outside. The biggest problem I had when looking for a hat was that my head is almost 22 inches in circumference and I have thick curly hair - most hats were too tight. This beret fits well but is not tight and also easily fits under the hood of my jacket. My search is over!
