Review on ๐Ÿถ Dogsays 5ft Long Traffic Leash with Dual Handles - Padded Two Handle Heavy Duty Lead for Large or Medium Dogs - Reflective Training Leashes by Danielle Landry

Revainrating 4 out of 5

High build quality, some nice features but also some design flaws

I've only been using it for a few days but already have some thoughts to share. The leash feels high quality: thick, heavy, good stitching, soft handles, reflectors, two handles. Many functions for little money. I often use the second handle because my dog pulls. I have a thin long leash that I have been using for a long time and switching to this 5ft x 1 inch leash has made my walks more comfortable as my dog is 50 pounds of muscle. 5 feet is a good length and doesn't require an extra line. There are some potential downsides, however, but they are subjective. I still don't know how I'm doing with the weight. The leash is double layered and the clasp is heavy. So either consider it hard work or just hard work; But I think I really like the weight and I'm getting used to it more and more. I feel like the label they are putting is not needed. Obviously this is a white label product, nobody cares about the brand. It's a thick plastic tag sewn to the underside of the top handle that can easily cause a "rope burn". The leash is usually very slippery, but you risk injury with that thick, hard plastic tag. Luckily I think it can be clipped which I will try. Hopefully there isn't any glue. While the soft grips are comfortable and smooth, the grips' inner material feels slippery. The intent was probably to prevent the rope from catching fire, but maybe once it breaks it's not as slippery. I think 1 inch thick is too much for me. Not by much, but I would have liked a deeper, truer shade of blue than the light blue I bought.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
