My wife and I bought this camera for the holidays when we usually buy a lot of things in the mail as gifts. We live in an urban environment, in a big city on the main street, where there is no box with a lock, just a small slit in the door for the post office. We've had parcel theft before and just need some extra security. I put it in right away. It was very easy to set up. Literally 10 minutes from the package and it was hooked up. Now we just have to assemble it. We tested it with a video and you get one month free storage with the app. You can then pay per month, quarter or year. There is also a free option, but not much storage space. It's really affordable. I think $7 a month or $69.99 a year for up to 3 cameras. (There are other plans and deals for even more cameras and storage). After seeing that it works great we will actually buy 2 more for the house and the back of the building. In this day and age you can never be too sure. It needs to be connected to a network, so it's not a wireless camera, it's a Wi-Fi camera. It's also nice to note that the app only runs at 2.4 speed, not 5.0. I'm glad our fast internet package gave us two separate lines so we have both. We were very impressed with what he captured even in the dark when we turned off the camera's red light. It started picking up every time my son turned over in his sleep in the morning while we were testing it, when Grandpa came to babysit my wife's morning meeting, and while I was at work. Overall I'm very impressed. Will update to see how it holds up in winter and outdoors.
