My dog is 50 pounds and the measurements indicated I could buy either small or medium. I chose a medium size because I needed longer straps to allow the velcro to adhere better. This is particularly important to me as my dog loves to run in dense bushes. The fit is good and the straps have stayed secure. The vest ensures good visibility and does not restrict the dog's mobility. I have found that the vest is easy to clean even if the dog gets dirty. I use a kitchen stain remover and this works best. Dries quickly, seams are strong and last a long time. I am happy with the purchase.
