Review on Martelli 28mm ErgoCutter: The Ultimate Left-Handed Ergonomic Rotary Cutter by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Great tailor. - Sew

Ergonomically speaking, this is an excellent knife. The blades are the best I've seen. Unfortunately, this cutter (I think) is not designed for busy quilting. It's very easy to cut yourself. The blade does not automatically retract when you lower it. The blade remains open. You can use the protective cover with two hands, which slows down the work when you cut a lot. I just don't have the time or inclination to activate the blade guard every time I start/stop. I might add a hat, I'm not a newbie to rotary cutters. I've been using them for years and never cut myself until I got these. Three cuts in three days. I returned to my Olfa. The blade is not so sharp and inconvenient to use. Safety first.

Pros
  • <p>Martelli 28mm ErgoCutter Ergonomic Rotary Cutter (left-handed)
Cons
  • Non-Automatic
