I made a pressing mat with a towel and some foil between the folds. It was handy for quick pressing jobs on the craft table behind my sewing table. Then I noticed it was beginning to warp my cutting mat and decided to order a real pressing mat. I had never considered wool and I am so happy this was the first one I came to in my search. It came quickly and has been more useful than I could have possible imagined. I am making face masks like so many sewers and the ability to quickly press binding

I looked all over for a solution to be able to press close to my sewing machine. This wool pad is perfect. It is so handy to have close by. The wool purse that came with it has solved my need for keeping feet and needles safe and handy. The sewing pins are so nice and the thread snipper is just what I needed. Sewing has become a rich women's hobby and finding such a good deal for needed supplies is truly a bonus.

This is thick but you will need to place something to protect your surface because steam does get through. Almost ruined my cutting mat.

Everything you have read about wool pressing mats is true. My only complaint is that it is suggested your iron be set on wool rather than cotton. There are times that isn’t warm enough to get the desired result but most times it is fine.

I bought this for myself but what a great little gift set for deist friends and family. Works great, love the extra notions and iron rest

Love the product but every time I go to use it (especially with steam iron) the foul fecal/ammonia smell penetrates the room. I put it outside the day I received it because it stunk so bad! Sprayed it with microban hoping it would help (briefly) again left it outside in sunshine for 3 days/nights. By 4th day sniffed and seemed ok, then went to use the steam iron on it & stench came back immediately. I’m willing to bet the wool was not properly cleaned of animal soiling and the smell is…

I usually only do small craft projects with cloth that needs to me ironed. I was tired of dragging out my big ironing board for a small piece of cloth. This pad works great! It can be placed on almost any surface and the heat from the iron does not go through. The pad is large enough for my small projects, but small enough to store away when not using. I am glad I purchased it!

So far I’ve used this for quick and easy pressing of seams at my sewing desk when I really don’t want to pull out my ironing board and for when I have to adhere iron on vinyl. This works amazing and none of the heat has gone through to damage my desk. It’s a really nice size for the price and fits perfectly on my desk. All the little extra were nice and I like the silicone iron mat because it reduces the risk of me hitting the iron with my hand when I’m not ironing.

I quilt on occasion and the ease of getting this out and putting it away takes the stress out of the process. No more ironing board taking up a lot of space in the room.

The size is perfect for my quilted table runner. The wool retained heat so the pressing is crisper. The extras are nice too!

Just what I needed for my sewing room. Always need to keep pressing those seams and works great. Now I don't have to keep going to my laundry room to press. Love that it came with extras. Retractable measuring tape, straight pins, thread snips that are very sharp and a little pouch to store them in, but will likely be using the pouch for something else. Great product at a great price.

I haven't used this for too long but find it sets my seams in my quilt projects very well. It smells a little like wool but not objectionable. It is a good size also.

Love the ease of the pad instead of having to drag out the ironing board that is hidden in the back of the closet. May be more difficult to find in stores!

Good size for ironing some projects we were working on. Holding up well and looks like it should last awhile.Didn’t realize that steam goes through the wool mat pretty easily. Luckily I was on my cutting mat and foldable plastic table. Could have damaged some wood furniture.

The ironing pad works well and is a nice size for my sewing table. I did not expect the measuring tape, snipping scissors, and pins. The pouch was a nice added bonus. The rubber iron guard works well. You need to be aware that steam goes through the mat and will make your table wet. That is why I gave it 4 stars.

I love wool pressing mats. This one is quite nifty as it came with some handy extras. Perfect "on the go size" whether at home or attending an event!

Great size to keep beside my sewing machine for pressing smaller projects. Good for pressing seams open and making sharp creases. It does omit a smell but it goes away after a couple weeks of use.
