No strong odor! on my review.

I am very please with this pressing mat. There is no strong odor and it does an excellent job of pressing. Just remember this is wool and it can scorch, so consider this with your iron setting. The portability of this mat is a plus. I used a scrap piece of wood paneling; which I adhered felt to the bottom side to protect from scratching, then I have placed a folded beach towel on top of the paneling and I have had no major problems with heat damage under the mat, but I still would not place it…

Pros
  • Reduces the need for steam when ironing fabrics
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of sewing projects

Best tool for multi-piece quilt blocks

I had seen videos about how great a wool pressing mat was for pressing your quilt blocks but wasn't sure if it really did make a difference. Now that I have this one, I know the videos were telling the truth. Wish I had it earlier in my quilting journey.

Pros
  • Increases the lifespan of pressing tools and irons, reducing the need for replacements
Cons
  • May require additional accessories for use

A dream for quilters and sewers.

I love this item. I think I may never be without it again. My very first time pressing was a dream. Nice and crisp and flat. Perfect! The thickness is just right. The value for my money was superb. I didn’t have the smell that others mentioned. I loved the little extras that came with the mat. It was like getting a present with purchase.

Pros
  • It was a great deal.more than I thought it would be .very happy with the wool pressing mat.
Cons
  • May not work for larger quilting and ironing projects

Works great: my feedback

I glued small magnets to the corners and use it on top of my washing machine. Without the magnets it slid around pretty bad. Great purchase. I also liked the little pouch with goodies in it.

Pros
  • Great purchase for the price I paid! Would recommend
Cons
  • May leave wool fibers on fabrics

Up your flatness game

This mat is the perfect size for me, and I wanted to see if these really made a "flatness" difference. It does! I only notice a slight odor, but not enough to care. I use Mary Ellen's, so I only smell that anyway. Cute accessories too. ❤️ it!

Pros
  • 1.39 pounds
Cons
  • May not provide consistent results

LOVE This!: my feedback

What a difference this ironing pad made to my life! Just wish I could have afforded a slightly larger one, but, this size suits my needs perfectly. No smell detected when using it as was expressed by some other reviewers. Extremely comfortable on the wrists to iron or press small things. I am SO happy I bought this and highly recommend it if you need something cushioning a hard table surface. The table underneath did not heat up.

Pros
  • So much easier using this mat than taking out my ironing board . So glad I ran into it
Cons
  • May require special product to clean

Perfect thickness, great quality!

I'm actually using this for book bonding instead of pressing. Even so it is fabulously sturdy and the perfect thickness for using with an all to punch holes in paper without ruining my wood table.

Pros
  • Eliminates the need for bulky and expensive ironing boards
Cons
  • May not work for all types of materials

I’ve used this for over a month now and the smell is still not dissipating. It works well for ironing. The bag snap broke the first time I opened it but I didn’t make the purchase for the bag so didn’t care much.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of accidentally damaging fabrics with the iron
Cons
  • May require additional maintenance for longevity

Phenomenal on my review.

Bought this to use on my tabletop so I wouldn’t need to have my ironing board set up full time in my kitchen where my sewing projects happen. it’s so convenient and works beautifully. I don’t even need to use steam with it at all.

Pros
  • TIME SAVING - Wool iron mat absorbs heat, steam,it will pass through your fabrics,no need to turn the fabric around and iron on both sides without the need of steam.
Cons
  • May require additional safety precautions

Works really good in my review

This is a lot easier to use than a whole ironing board. Takes up way less room and is easy to store. The quality is really good and about the same as ones that are way more expensive.

Pros
  • Nice size
Cons
  • May not work on all types of irons

Game changer! for my opinion

Wow - i didn't know this existed! I'm a sewer of clothes not quilts. A YouTuber used it and shared the link. I use it on my ironing board - sometimes theres a well on my ironing board - but also on my table which is so convenient! it does smell like wool and i imagine it will smell for quite a while. It came with a little wool pouch to hold sewing accessories (scissors and pins). cute. So, bottom line - I love it!

Pros
  • item smell so bad when using, I which i knew that before i brought it., i don't use it that much.
Cons
  • May cause discomfort or strain when using for extended periods

Good quality item for a good price

Wool iron pad is exactly what I have been wanting. Makes ironing pieces of fabric for sewing easier. The wool mat absorbs the heat pressing both sides of the fabric. Really good price for the size and it came with little extras like a silicone iron pad, pins and a measuring tape in a little zipper bag.

Pros
  • Heats evenly, resulting in quicker ironing times
Cons
  • May not be as effective for pressing darts and curves

Works Like a Charm - my new review

I was a little skeptical of the claim that you could iron one side and have the back be ironed well also without flipping and doing the work. This product really does that. I do a fair amount of sewing and sometimes ironing the seams takes a long time. However, this mat speeds that up and allows me to use a space on my table without having to drag out my ironing board. The extras that came in the package are a great help as well. Great product that is well worth the price.

Pros
  • Absorbs excess moisture, resulting in crisper and more defined edges
Cons
  • May require additional knowledge about the types of wool used for pressing mats

A great addition for any stitcher!

This has really been a plus for doing my masks and quilting pieces without having to set up the ironing board or a stack of towels. It absorbs the hated them bounces it back through your fabric, it'll be nice to have a bigger one but for now this does very well for small items. It is also came with a nice little gift kit with a zipper bag and some sewing notions in it. I highly recommend it

Pros
  • Can be used for both sewing and crafting projects
Cons
  • May not be available in all sizes

Now I know for my opinion

Didn’t quite understand what all the hype was about in having a wool ironing mat. Now I know. I no longer use the ironing board to iron my quilt pieces.

Pros
  • Provides a perfectly flat and stable surface for ironing and quilting
Cons
  • May not work for all types of fabric

Nice pressing mat best in my review

I had always wanted a wool pressing mat but didn't really know if there was value in them. I recently saw a review from a famous quilting group that says they are the way to go - now I am a believer. If you quilt, you need this!

Pros
  • Can be used with delicate and sensitive fabrics, such as silk and lace
Cons
  • May affect the quality of fabrics if not used properly

I bought this wool mat after seeing it used in a video by one of my favorite youtube crafters. This mat is the perfect size for pressing small pieces of fabric, setting seams, etc. I keep it under my sewing table and it’s so much more convenient than having to get up and go to the ironing board every time something small needs a quick pressing. I will say it’s bigger than I thought it would be (my fault for not checking size), but it’s actually more useful to me than a small mat would have been

Pros
  • Great value and works well
Cons
  • Requires care and maintenance

Really nice thick, soft mat

Really nice quality feel to this pressing mat and I love that it came with extras. It’s always handy without taking up too much room- perfect for pressing my embroidery

Pros
  • Great value. Perfect size.
Cons
  • Requires additional space in sewing area

Super convenient sized pressing mat.

I love not having to press both sides of my fabric and the portabilty of this ironing mat. It is nice and thick as advertised and came with the little wool envelope for organizing small items like pins tapes and scissors which were a bonus, The add-ons were inexpensive ones but usable. Thank you for a good value that came quickly,

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of stretching, distortion, and wrinkling during ironing
Cons
  • May not work for all types of finishes

Great product, works very well!

I just got this wool mat yesterday, and have already been amazed at how well it works. I got this so that I could put my big ironing board away and leave just this out all the time for pressing (I do mostly quilting). I'm really impressed by how well and quickly it irons even really tricky wrinkles. There is a bit of a wool smell, but anyone who felts wool or works with wool otherwise will be familiar with it. Even with a lot of steam I haven't thought the wool smell was very strong. The little

Pros
  • Rdutuok
Cons
  • May take longer to press and iron fabrics
