I just got this wool mat yesterday, and have already been amazed at how well it works. I got this so that I could put my big ironing board away and leave just this out all the time for pressing (I do mostly quilting). I'm really impressed by how well and quickly it irons even really tricky wrinkles. There is a bit of a wool smell, but anyone who felts wool or works with wool otherwise will be familiar with it. Even with a lot of steam I haven't thought the wool smell was very strong. The little free gift is pretty handy, and the felt bag was larger than expected (about 6" x 7") - which was a nice surprise. I'm very happy with this purchase!
