Quarantine Breakdown

I bought this Bestidy 4D Silk Fiber Lash Mascara during the 2020 quarantine because I couldn't spend a million dollars on Va-Va-Voom Mascara and started working from home. With a slashed makeup budget and mandatory face mask requirements, my beauty needs have changed drastically; After realizing that my hair isn't actually red(!) and people can only see what's above my nose and under my baseball cap, I realized that big eyelashes are neither compulsory nor compulsory. I'd love to say I rocked an entire "haute couture surgical mask baseball cap," but without my bright red hair and only 1/3 of my face to show the world, I was shipwrecked trying to find a volleyball . Fast forward to my Revain search for "Fiber Mascara". With the full expectation of finding options for as little as $25 or more, I was surprised - and admittedly suspicious - to find this product. After all, I've tried "cheaper" products before but had to return them for a variety of reasons - they were peeling off, didn't go smoothly, or (oddly) I had an applicator that looked like a tiny pancake (absolutely true!) mine initial search results turned up a bunch of mascaras, so I narrowed my search to the words "thick" and "not clumpy." Bingo! This product popped up and the description and reviews convinced me that this might be the Lash Unicorn I was looking for. Replace the bubble wrap (after disinfecting it, of course). There's nothing fancy about the packaging - like some of the more expensive lash products that come packaged in "little glasses cases" - but the tube didn't come in a blister pack either (so that's a plus). I immediately noticed that the tube is firm and not thin like many mascaras. That means my Edward Scissors fingers have something to hold on to. [Ask my daughter; she laughs and confirms the accuracy of the description.] I then proceeded to apply the product using the familiar "wiggling from roots to tips" technique and found that the product really worked. smooth, thickens my lashes and makes them look longer. I don't have to use a safety pin to separate 5 thick lashes into 50 individual lashes, which is good because like many people, I tend to "miss" the safety pin (and I'll leave it there). ) - Ouch. After a day of wearing I noticed my lashes weren't flaky, thick or crunchy but the mascara held! I figured I'd need a jackhammer to get the stuff off, but all I needed was my regular makeup remover (I use a wet wipe in a packet or an oil-free liquid in a bottle). Unlike many other fiber lashes. Products, I don't have crisp lashes and I don't look like a raccoon in the morning. To be honest, I haven't worn this anywhere but at home and in the store, but...I don't have to put tons of makeup on to even out thin lashes. so it looks like a winner to me. I'll end this little review by saying that I'm in no way a makeup expert and prefer drugstore products (because I'm from CoverGirl and The Avon Generation) - but people say I'm good at applying it what I use and I don't look like I should wear rubber shoes and make balloon animals at carnival. While I can't compare it to a thousand dollar mascara (although I got a test tube from Chanel a few years ago and it was pretty damn cool), I certainly can compare it to fibrous (and even non-fibrous) mascaras for the same price and confirm that it doesn't look as cheap as it is. Good value for money. A good product. I will buy again.
