Premium Cotton Paper
Arches Watercolor is by far the best 100% cotton fiber paper available in pillow form at a reasonable price. It's thick and sturdy, 140 lbs (300 gsm), absorbency and consistency, you'll find it at Arches. The texture is rough and it's great for both amateur and professional artists. It absorbs color evenly, allows you to blend edges, excellent layering, and doesn't damage easily when removing color for highlights. It's strong enough to withstand multiple washes, masking liquids, scrapers, and artist's masking tape (I prefer Frog Tape) without damage resist I am always very satisfied with the quality of this paper and I use it for all my watercolors.
