Markers are useful for those who are just starting to paint with watercolors. They didn't have the rich color I was looking for after adding water. I had to go through several times to get the desired result. They're good for kids as I have a feeling someone new to watercolor painting will be frustrated with fading when water is added, but they were fine just painting on paper.
