These mirrors work very well. I have a Mercury Mountaineer and it doesn't appear that towing mirrors are made for it. These solved the problem. If you adjust the rubber bands correctly, they will hold without any problems. They vibrate a bit when driving on the road, which is to be expected. Lowering the boat down the ramp, they are exactly what the doctor ordered. The only downside I found is that the lugs that help hold this mirror to the car mirror push the car mirror to a lower position. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix this, the tab should be where it should be attached to the car mirror. So it's a minor issue, but nothing I can't live with. My wife also likes them because now she can reverse the boat down the gangplank.
