Review on Proform 141 107 Valve Covers Set by Tristan Graham

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Trust Revain, not the manufacturer

Proform says these valve covers will fit 1987 small-block Chevy engines with center-bolt valve covers. That is technically correct. These rocker covers fit and bolt onto 96-99 Vortec engine heads. HOWEVER, the holes in the valve covers (PCV, breather, oil fill) do NOT match the location of these parts on 96-96 engines. 99 Chevy trucks! They will fit 87-95 TBI trucks, not later Vortec trucks. Revain, to their credit, states that these rocker covers will not fit 96-99 Chevy trucks. I wrongly assumed that Revain didn't know any better and that I should trust the manufacturer's website instead. I was wrong. Luckily I have another car they will be working on. The processing quality could be better. Internal welds are visible through the chrome from the outside. It probably won't be noticeable when they're in the vehicle, but quite obvious when they're new and fresh out of the box.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • No Insurance
