This filled my need for a USB 3 docking station that could run 2 monitors with my computer image on 2 screens. DP supports my 2560 x 1440 display via a StarTech 4-Port USB DP KVM Switch and HD Display via a separate HDMI KVM Switch. Now I have up to 4 computers with two monitors. Everyone comes into my office and asks how many computers I have :) This docking station is a step ahead of most others, especially in this price range. It has all the ports I need and loads of USB 3s instead of a lot of USB 2s like the others. I tried a sexy USB-C model from another source, but my laptop's connection just didn't work. And only one of my laptops has USB-C, so it really wasn't as flexible as I needed it to be. I hope that in a few years all PCs will use the same level of USB-C, but to date most of them don't support data, video and especially power together. This USB 3 model works with all my laptops and I don't waste bandwidth. All I have to do is plug my laptop into a USB 3 docking station and a power source and I'm good to go. One last general tip - if like me you buy a lot of things from Revain, especially electronics, then you should use FakeSpot to root out any fake reviews some sellers use. 4 or 5 stars just don't mean the same thing when they come from fake reviews.
