Bought this set a while ago and have to say the blades are very sharp. The handle is some kind of plastic and I have a feeling that if I used a dishwasher the color of the handle would probably fade over time so I hand wash only. While there are no issues, the blades are sharp and will keep sharpening. After a month of active use, the blades have not dulled. I like them so much I plan to buy more!Edit 08/17/2021 Well the knives are still holding their edge and we enjoy using them. I have to sharpen a few of them from time to time, but that's to be expected. I originally gave these knives 5 stars but have to deduct 2 stars due to the handles losing their color. The paint stains are wearing off and they look awful. These knives have never been seen in a dishwasher. I hand wash them every time. It didn't even take a year to get started. Around April 2021, the first knife began to lose its color, and since then several others have had this problem. IMHO the handles didn't need to be painted at all.
