The kit contains two lamps and all the necessary parts to mount the lamps individually or together in parallel, close together, somehow close together or a few meters apart. I used a spare bulb across the 12 volt fluorescent light in my van that stopped working. A second lamp above the camper stove was used instead of a totally inadequate 12V hood light. It's easy to connect it to the cooker hood switch with the included pigtail. No problem understanding instructions. The lamp can be easily disassembled. For a cleaner installation over the sink, I wanted the wiring to exit the side of the light fixture in the center opposite the side of the switch. I removed an end cap, drilled a small hole in the side of the aluminum case, fed through some of the extra red/black wiring they put in the assembly, cut the wires on the inside of the end cap and attached the red/black wiring, and then reassembled (total two small screws on the end cap). Works perfectly!
