My Great Dane loves this sweater. It's a little softer than other Chilly dog sweaters which is a good thing as the others are still too tight for my girl. The rest rub in the pit area as they are all wool and more comfortable. This one doesn't. It is softer but still has some hair. I'm not sure about the mix. Keep in mind that this one extends towards the end of the day. It grows about 6 inches long and starts to hang on her like a stretched t-shirt. A good wash reduces the size until the next wear.
