Review on 🎲 Frenchi Home Furnishing Chess Table - Featuring Two Functional Drawers for Storage by Sally Romero

A good chess table for the money

The table is inexpensive and very beautiful. Mine is oriented correctly: the boxes face each player, not the sides. The finish is not perfect but certainly very good. There are a few spots that weren't properly coated at the factory, but that's easily fixed with a furniture handle. It would be nice if the table was a bit bigger to accommodate the looted pieces, but that's no big deal. The packaging is great, with lots of styrofoam to keep the pieces from shifting in the box during transit. Basic carpentry skills come in handy when centering a chess board on a pedestal. The screws are self-tightening so you don't need to pre-drill pilot holes, but a screwdriver will help. For what I paid I don't mind the extra step of truing the board and drilling my own holes. If you want a pre-drilled board, spend $500 and you'll probably get a pre-drilled board. Once assembled and looking good, no one will know if it's pre-drilled or not. This is a very good article.
