Hooray, hooray, I finally found one that works. After a long search for a keyboard for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, I came across the Logitech version. It's almost double the price of others I've tried, but when I took it out of the box and charged it all connected and worked fine. Even the vertical slot kept the tablet upright, maybe not twice as much, but enough to keep it upright for at least a while. (The key was the rubber grommet that lines the front edge of the slot and gives it enough stability to stay in place until you get too wild). I then flipped the switch and to my delight the light came on, which is always a good sign with electronic devices. Then I turned on the tablet and told it to search for a date, then hit the connect button on the keyboard. As I sat and watched after three previous failed attempts, like a scene from the old "Bβ movement, the keyboard and tablet ran into each other in an embrace, hugging, kissing and connecting, hopefully for life. "Today in Muddwile the joy of the mighty Casey hitting a home run." Bottom line, this Logitech keyboard adds more dimension to the tablet and offers some protection from utensils and containers. I also bought a $17 carrying case that includes the cables, charger, and other accessories needed to keep it powered. I hope this helps, it took a while to assemble but it's worth spending the morning at a coffee shop where I can actually be productive.
