The sharpener is very easy to use. I love how the sharpener keeps my tips so sharp most of the time. One thing I notice when I sharpen and go painting is that my tips break and I have to resharpen. This has been happening fairly frequently lately. Also, lately I sometimes have to struggle to sharpen my pencils. In the beginning I didn't have to. And sometimes not. I still love the product. The sharpener is very heavy, it is not easy to take it with you on the go. I want it to be battery powered
