Because of my dog I needed something delivered ASAP. It arrived the next day in the evening. My last mattress topper let me down badly (it was expensive and very thick, supposedly waterproof/impermeable). Haven't been in the market to spend a lot of money on another mattress topper so after reading the reviews. I chose this mattress topper. I can't test water resistance. Luckily no accidents involving pets. a while. The size was large (deep pockets) and easy to put on. It's soft and feels great. but it is thin. As long as it meets the waterproof rating, that's all I care about. I will update when I know this part and check if it passes or not in this aspect. Concerned about the sides of the mattress because they don't seem designed to protect the sides from spills or other accidents (not sure). I suggest making sure that the mattress topper you buy also protects the sides of the mattress.
