Merrell Jungle Moc Leather Shoes for Kids - Toddler, Little Kid, Big Kid Sizes Review

My boy has been a fan of Merrell shoes since he was 3 years old. He wears his Merrells every day. We bought him a Jungle Moc (black) leather size 2 for his first day of school. He wore them every day, 4 days a week, and within a month (first week of October) the toes of the boots were cracked and peeling off. Very disappointed. These are the first Merrells to fall apart in this way. I even cleaned them everyday with a leather cleaner so he could wear "new" shoes every morning, but my care…

We've been buying Merrell Jungle Mocs for school every year for the past 13 years. A few years ago they went through a period where they didn't seem to have quite the same quality, but they are very good. The leather isn't exactly smooth, so scratches shouldn't be that obvious. My child wears a 5 and I ordered a 5.5 but it was more of a full size. The only negative was that the box was broken.

This is the third year that I have bought these shoes for my 10 year old grandson. He loves them, says they fit like slippers. We have no problem with them not being durable. For the first year we bought both black and brown suede and they seemed to be more durable as suede doesn't scratch as easily, but a little black shoe polish on them and they're like new. My son wears the same shoes. In adult size, of course.

Great school shoe for active kids. No laces, more playtime, fewer crashes. Comfortable and somewhat durable, good grip. My 9 year old son loved it.

I bought these shoes for my 9 year old son as part of his school uniform and he finds them so comfortable that he wears them on his weekend of choice. They are in perfect condition even though my son is a VERY active kid. I've already bought the next size up when his legs grow back. My only comment is that they appear to be larger as he wears a 6.5 in all other shoes but still finds 6 comfortable in these.

Looks very good. I could wear them anywhere I needed a matching ankle and heel. The shoes were a little big in length but not the right size.

My very picky kid loves these shoes. They have good support, are comfortable and are perfect for easy on and off when entering and leaving the home. We have them in future sizes now as I have ordered the larger sizes in case I can't find them when he grows up. They do a very good job, even with daily use we don't think the sole won't crack or splinter at all.

These shoes are required by the school my son goes to. The quality is the worst, they tear and stretch easily, so the shoes get lost after a while.

I have wide feet and wear the adult 7W but the kids 5.5 is perfect for me at half the price. Over the last 15 years I have bought several pairs of children's moccasins in different colors and designs. I'm on my feet all day and they give me enough support, but maybe not enough for someone with a high arch. And I love how easy they are to put on and take off.

Bought as school shoes. Comfortable attractive shoes. Not designed to wear out like athletic shoes, but serve their purpose and are well made.

I've worn these shoes for many years and love them. A particular problem with this order is the rough texture of the leather. I expected smooth skin like in the photo. I already have a pair that are starting to wear out. They should be replaced. (See New vs. Old in the photo) It's not bad, but not what I expected. I can return them, it was hard to find smooth black leather and not suede so I can keep them anyway.

Perfect fit, we will design them to last all school year if he doesn't outgrow them! Would buy again. Expensive for a children's shoe!

My son LOVES Merrells. When we buy shoes, it's Merrells. We've tried others but he loves these. He's strict about shoes, but they usually stand up to even his rough treatment until he's old enough to get a new size. This time, however, was different. They only lasted four months before they ripped so badly I had to buy him a new pair. I was disappointed because that had never happened to Merrells before.

This shoe is non-slip. I slipped in these shoes twice in the last two days! If I wear these shoes again now, I will only wear them at home. I hate that!

These are really durable shoes! My first grader wore them to school every day for about 5 months and although they are definitely wearing out they are still intact! It's a good shoe and fits comfortably for his wide, flat feet. No complaints here and I will be ordering again next semester.

I have small feet, I have a hard time finding children's shoes that don't look like children's shoes. I love these shoes, very comfortable and they don't feel like children's shoes. Very happy .

My son loves these shoes! Part of the dress code at his school includes black dress shoes. Finding dressy shoes that are (comfortable and durable) for a 12 year old to wear every day/all day is not an easy task. I'm glad Merrell makes a (mostly) black pair that I can trust to stand up to the breakage time and normal wear and tear.

Trust all the reviews about how bad these shoes are. Li than 3 months and they fell apart. The grandchildren advance. Will never buy Merrel again. They can cost up to $10 shoes, but that's about it. Expensive for poor quality shoes. Revain should be ashamed for posting this rubbish on their website.

If this shoe ever gets too big for my boy I will definitely buy another one. So solid and beautiful are these shoes. I also buy as much for my other children.

I soon bought it for my 11 year old child. It looked fine at first, but after wearing it to school for two weeks it began to peel off and looked like tar stains, mainly around the toes.
