My erratic idle has been fixed.
This fixed what I thought was a bad idle control valve on my car. I have replaced the idle air control valve and the idle stays higher than normal and sometimes picks up a new abnormally high idle. I've noticed that just moving the throttle will drop the idle RPM. I understand that TPS is bad. Of course I replaced the TPS with this one and the car was back to perfect idle. I wish it came with a new foam gasket so I don't have to reuse the original gasket. It is no problem to reuse the old seal.
