They are not as bold as you would expect on black paper and do not match the demo photos in the listing. All the gold colors are very similar to each other, the green/blue/purple is very silvery, making it difficult to see the intended color. In my picture they shoot a lot bolder than they seem in real life (to be fair it's the same with sharpeners but you can definitely see how much more opaque and sharp sharpeners are). So if you're just shooting your results and don't care about many colors looking the same, go for it. Personally I'm just not impressed and will just let my kid use them for creativity.
