Wow! I'm so glad I found this brand! I needed a new pair of collars for my dog. The ones I'm replacing were cotton and printed and I liked that about them, but they were limited edition designer brands and no longer available. I was looking for the right one on Amazon and I fell in love with this brand! FABRIC: The cotton is so soft and the prints are absolutely beautiful! Cotton is the right thickness. The collars I replaced were 1/2", so I looked for something close to that. I've already washed/tumble dried them and it came out perfect! COLORS: The pictures match what is I received. Bright beautiful color! Kept alive through wear and washing SIZE: I have a 9 year old Shih Tzu. The average height for this breed is 9-16 lbs. Mine weighs around 9.5 lbs so it's small, as per the size chart Her neck measurement is on the border between XS and S. I played it safe and ordered Small in 5/8". When it arrived I turned the clasp halfway and it fit her well but my second Ruff Roxy (Dream Chaser) collar which I ordered was a size XS (I prefer 1/2 inch thickness) and it fits PERFECTLY ! The slider is almost at the end so I definitely recommend looking at the measurements listed for each size before ordering for your dog Ruler and maximum length on both collars measured exactly as stated 9 and Shih Tzu does not require much exercise. My experience with cotton collars tells me they're great for their activity level. She is not very active. Her favorite pastime is sleeping on the couch plays fetch about 10 minutes a day and doesn't get into much trouble. This collar will not be a problem for them. They are durable and well made. It stays well on a leash at the park when trying to take a break and meet new people. My dog has his own wish list and it's jam-packed with these Ruff Roxy collars right now.
