Extremely unhappy with LG's warranty policy
I've had this DVD player less than a year so it's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Yesterday a lightning strike caused a power outage in my house and the unit stopped working (even though it was turned off and plugged into a surge protector). I submitted a repair request to LG stating this and the next day I was told that LG will not replace any parts caused by "problems beyond human control or natural disasters". You'd think a company as big as LG would be willing to replace the hardware for $33. It's not, and I think it's totally unreasonable and unfair. I will not buy LG again.
